On November 5, the Seventh China International Import Expo and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum opened in Shanghai. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Chen Jianguang, a member of the Party Leadership Group, Vice President, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC Group, and Chairman of both MCC Group and China MCC, was invited to attend the opening ceremony.
Li Qiang said that hosting the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is an important measure for China to expand opening up and cooperation, and it is a solemn commitment we have made to the world. He put forward three suggestions: First, better build a consensus on opening up while adhering to honoring commitments. Second, better expand the space for opening up while adhering to mutual benefit and win-win results. Third, better shoulder the mission of opening up while adhering to sharing a common fate.
With the theme of "New Era, Shared Future", this CIIE lasted for 6 days and attracted about 3,500 enterprises from 152 countries, regions and international organizations, including 297 enterprises from the world's top 500 and leading in the industry, hitting a new high, and 186 enterprises and institutions attending for seven consecutive years. Over 400 new representative products, technologies and services were showcased in a concentrated manner. It will continue to build the CIIE into a prime venue for the global debut of new products and the preferred destination for cutting-edge technologies.
