On April 29, MCC and China MCC Economic Operation Analysis Conference for the First Quarter of 2024 was held in Beijing Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, attended the conference and delivered a speech, Yan Aizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC and China MCC, presided over the conference, and Zou Hongying, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of MCC and China MCC and Vice President of China MCC, presented an analysis report on the economic operation situation.

The central task of the conference was to be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the important deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, conscientiously carry out the requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and the economic operation analysis conference for the first quarter of China Minmetals, review and summarize the production and operation situation of MCC in the first quarter, analyze problems, study and judge the situation, systematically deploy the key work for the next step, and strengthen confidence to promote the full implementation of the work throughout the year.

At the conference, Chen Jianguang analyzed the business indicators of MCC in the first quarter, fully affirmed the effectiveness of the work carried out by various lines since the first quarter, objectively analyzed the current situation and major issues faced by enterprise, and made arrangements in six aspects for the key work that needs to be done well in the next step, and put forward "six unwavering principles": Unswervingly focus on the strategic positioning and persist in promoting the enterprise's further transformation and upgrading; unswervingly intensify marketing efforts and persist in enhancing the enterprise's development potential; unswervingly solidify the quality of business development and persist in improving the capability of value creation; unswervingly fortify the defense line of work safety and persist in enhancing the level of safety governance; unswervingly implement and refine compliant operations and persist in promoting the enterprise's healthy and stable development; and unswervingly strengthen party building and persist in advancing comprehensive and strict governance over the party.

At the conference, the main financial indicators and budget implementation in the first quarter were comprehensively reported, the characteristics and highlights of the business activities in the first quarter were summarized, the remaining shortcomings and deficiencies in the business work were analyzed, and all units were required to quickly organize, convey, and implement the spirit of the conference, build consensus, work hard, keep a close eye on the annual production and operation goals unswervingly, and ensure the high-quality completion of annual tasks and goals.

More than 730 people, including members of the leading group of MCC and China MCC, non-group senior executives, other working group members, and heads of relevant functional departments and subsidiaries of the MCC headquarters, attended the conference in the main venue and 36 branch venues via video.
