On July 4th, MCC Party Standing Committee Member and Vice-President Wang Shilei made an official visit to meet Gansu Tianshui Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Wang Jun. Both parties exchanged opinions in terms of further strengthening their strategic cooperation relations and mutually driving the economic construction and development of Tianshui City.
Wang Shilei first thanked the Tianshui Municipal Government for their warm reception and expressed his happiness with the rapid development of Tianshui City. He pointed out that Tianshui is an important part of the ancient Silk Road, which gives it geographical advantages and profound historic culture. In particular, Gansu Province has been carrying out the Central Party Committee’s ‘the Belt and Road’ initiative in recent years, by which the development planning of Tianshui has increased and its tourism development and strategic position have been promoted. The development prospects of Tianshui are now wider. After implementing its strategic reorganization with China Minmetals, MCC has positively practiced the new strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of hi-tech construction in the long term’. Its various economic indexes have realized a new peak in history, and it has gained outstanding performance in such fields as high-end housing construction, urban underground comprehensive pipe galleries, special theme parks, smart city and beautiful village construction, rail transit and other fields. Wang Shilei pointed out that the MCC Group will pay close attention to the development and construction of Tianshui City as always, further strengthen its strategic cooperation with the city, give full play to its advantages as a central enterprise and make greater contributions to its economic development and construction.
Wang Jun welcomed Wang Shilei and his delegation, and highly praised the rich achievements gained by MCC in its transformation development in recent years. He then briefly introduced the development situation of Tianshui City. He hopes that MCC will continue to pay close attention to and support the development of Tianshui, give full play to its advantages as a central enterprise, carry out cooperation at a deeper level in many fields, and jointly promote the economic construction of Tianshui City and Gansu Province.
The meeting was attended by Tianshui Municipal Government Secretary General Wang Xianglin, MCC2 General Manager Zhu Guangxia and MCC Investment and Financing Department Deputy Director Wang Wei.
